YE MORDHEIM LEGENDS GAZETTE |
MORDHEIM"S MOST WANTED NADI-AZIR, Master Assassin Throughout Araby, the name of the Hashashiyyin is a name of dread. Of all the Hashashiyyin, no name is greater or more terrible than that of Nadi-Azir. According to rumour he can sneak up and surprise a cat at night and some say he can become invisible at will. He has been honored to be named the champion of his order. It is whispered that he has been defeated only once, by Aerun, the Sword of Twilight, who he was sent to kill. This one blotch on a perfect record puts Nadi-Azir greatly to shame. He has vowed to kill Aerun and proof once again that he is the greatest assassin that ever lived. All know that he has been challenged often by younger assassins to become the next champion of their order. None of them have ever succeeded and he remains the Master. The reason Nadi-Azir came to Mordheim in the first place is that he is on a secret mission from the Grand Master in Araby to kill the High Matriarch of the Sigmarite Sisterhood. The Sisters have been bitter enemies of the Hashashiyyin for a long time and the Grand Master wants to end this conflict once and for all by killing their leader. Hire Fee: 150 GC to hire; +35 GC upkeep cost. May be Hired: Any warband may hire Nadi-Azir, except Sisters of Sigmar and any warband with Aerun in it. Rating: Nadi-Azir increases a warband's rating by +80 points.
Weapons/Armour: Two scimitars: Tariq - magickal scimitar (+1 S), Jihad - magickal scimitar (+1 save), poisoned dagger (D3 wounds), leather armor. Skills : Strike to Injure, Combat Master, Web Of Steel, Expert Swordsman, Step Aside, Stealth (see below). Special Rules: Revenge: Nadi-Azir is desperate to take revenge on Aerun and show everybody once again that he is the greatest assassin ever. If Aerun is part of the same warband Nadi-Azir's original target is in, the assassin first tries to kill Aerun. If he succeeds in that he can try and kill the leader. This would create the interesting situation that when a player thinks his opponent hires Nadi-Azir to kill his leader, he in turns hires Aerun to prevent this. Stealth: Assassins are capable of moving silently and have exceptional skill at using any available cover. Models with the Stealth skill are not placed on the table like a normal model. At any time during any of your Hand-to-Hand Combat phases you may reveal the assassin and place the model anywhere within 4" of the leader of the opposing warband. Roll a D6:
After an assassin has come out of hiding he moves, shoots and fights as a normal model. Squickcut, The Sword of Moonlight Many people think that Mordheim has been overrun by Evil after the comet destroyed most of that once proud city. The lure of wyrdstone attracted many people and unfortunately most of them weren't what one would call decent lads. On top of that monsters flocked to the City of the Damned, some after wyrdstone just as the humans, others just after food and prey, mostly humans. So it seems that indeed Evil has taken over the city. But there are persons who has taken a stand against it. Persons who fight the good fight and try to stop the threat of Evil in Mordheim. One of these is the well-known legendary character Aerun, the Sword of Twilight, but there are many not so well-known persons fighting this good fight. And one is more feared then all the others combined. His nickname is Moonlight and this is his story. Moonlight is a snotling and on top of that an ex-pitfighter. Some might think this is a strange combination. But these people have never encountered Moonlight when he prowls the streets of Mordheim. He is a good friend of Aerun and sometimes they team up to fight against a particulary strong or dangerous opponent. Moonlights real snotling name is Squickcut and he has been trained in all martial-arts disciplines known to man (and snotling). MOONLIGHT Liberator of Liberty,
Destroyer of Evil. Quote: Look in the face of Goodness and tremble with Fear, thou foul creature of Evilness!! Hire Free: Moonlight costs 100 GC to hire. May be Hired: All warbands except Skaven, Possessed and Undead may hire Moonlight. Rating: Moonlight raises the cost of the warband with 20 points.
Armour: Stonecoat, magickal armour. Moonlight has magickal leather armour which gives him an unmodfied save of 3+ against both HtH as missile attacks. Special Rules Petite fighter: Because Moonlight is a very little snotling, all human-sized or larger opponents have a 1 to hit penalty in HtH against Moonlight. He in turn gets +1 to hit them as they are a large object in his eyes. Speedy: Not only is Moonlight little but he is also very fast. Moonlight can dodge attacks on a roll of 2+ |
